In an important announcement, the Executive Engineer of the Kotri Barrage, Irrigation Department, has notified farmers and stakeholders about the upcoming annual maintenance and repair schedule for the barrage.
According to the notification, the work is set to take place from December 25, 2024, to January 10, 2025, spanning a period of 16 days.
During this time, all canals linked to the barrage – Akram Wah, Old Phuleli, New Phuleli, and KB Feeder- will remain closed. This annual closure is essential to ensure the barrage’s efficiency and the consistent delivery of water to the agricultural sector.
Farmers and other stakeholders are urged to make necessary preparations to minimize any disruptions to their agricultural operations during this maintenance period.
