Pakistan Stock Exchange’s benchmark KSE-100 index crossed the 133,000 level on Monday thanks to growing investor confidence. The index closed at 133,370.15, a significant gain of 1,421.08 points (1.08 percent) from Thursday’s close of 131,949.07.
The KSE-30 index also saw upward movement, ending at 40,705.30, an increase of 317.54 points (0.79 percent).
Trading volume in the regular market increased significantly, reaching 919,907,440 shares compared to 733,079,943 shares the previous day. The value of trades also rose from 34,942,886,744 to 45,311,970,712. Market capitalization increased from 15,910,754,941,731 to 16,106,946,489,238. Futures trading also saw progress, with both turnover and trade value increasing.
