l – Zardari denounces bombing at Chinese restaurant in Afghan capital

President Asif Ali Zardari today accused the Taliban regime of failing to uphold its commitments under the Doha Peace Agreement, specifically its obligation to prevent Afghan soil from being used to export terrorism, following a deadly bomb blast in Kabul.

The President’s remarks came as he strongly condemned the bombing at a Chinese restaurant in the Afghan capital, expressing deep grief over the resulting casualties.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the attack.

Mr Zardari paid tribute to the spirit of Chinese citizens, acknowledging their continued work for the development of Afghanistan despite rising insecurity and serious risks to their lives.

He recalled that Pakistan has repeatedly stressed that no terrorist groups should be permitted to have safe havens in Afghanistan and reiterated that regional peace and security must be upheld.
