Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali visits cholera epidemic area

DERA BUGHTI: Commander 12 Corps Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali accompanied by Inspector General Frontier Corps Major General Muhammad Yousaf Majoka visited cholera epidemic affected area Pir Koh in district Dera Bugti of Balochistan province, the military’s media affairs wing said on Tuesday. According to a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Corps Commander expressed condolences and prayers to the families of the deceased. Corps Commander reviewed the ongoing relief operations in the area. Commander directed the civil administration and FC in the area to use all available resources for solving the problems of the people.

Commissioner Sibbi and provincial secretary health from Civil Administration briefed on the ongoing relief and medical operations in Pir Koh. Commander 12 Corps directed the district administration and representatives of OGDCL to resolve the issue on a permanent basis. Commander also directed FC to expedite the excavation of 4 water bores in the area; along with instructing for improvement of treatment facilities in hospitals.

Bowsers of FC and district administration are ensuring water supply in the area day and night. At present about 400,000 liters of clean drinking water is being provided to the residents of the area with the help of bowsers. Commander assured all possible cooperation to complete the ongoing water supply schemes in the area as soon as possible.
