A villager was killed by a lightning strike in the village of Hajana near Shikarpur on Sunday evening as heavy monsoon rains continued to lash the region for a third consecutive day.
The victim, identified as Wahid Bux Brohi, 45, was struck by lightning and died instantly, according to local reports. His body was brought to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
The ongoing monsoon has caused widespread disruption in interior Sindh, affecting socio-economic activities.
