Major Rally Staged by Jammu Kashmir Joint Action Committee

The Jammu Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee condemned the massacre of tourists in Pahalgam, calling it an attack on Kashmiri culture. The committee labeled the planners of this incident as traitors and foreign agents and clarified that no proxy war would be allowed in Kashmir.

A power show of the committee took place in the area of former President Yaqub Khan, Khodi Chana, where criticism was leveled at the electricity department for low voltage. A strong protest was threatened if public demands were not met.

The committee declared the misuse of electricity as treason, appealing to the public to use electricity only for legitimate needs. They stated that the malfunctioning of electrical appliances is affecting the public and increasing corruption.

Omar Nazir Kashmiri, a member of the core committee, said that if there is any tampering with the unity of Kashmir, the legislative assembly will be seized, and facilitators will be thrown into the river.

The committee condemned the arrest of Javed in Gilgit-Baltistan and demanded his immediate release, announcing full support for the public movement.

Omar Nazir Kashmiri stated that the privileges of the privileged ruling class should be immediately terminated, and strong actions will be taken if public demands are not implemented.

Participants demonstrated unity and took an oath to end electricity theft. A demand was made for the establishment of a judicial commission to further strengthen the public movement.
