Moroccan athlete Elyoussef Abdulmajeed on Sunday won the men’s competition of the second Lok Sahaita International Marathon, also known as the “Race of Hope.”
Abdulmajeed clinched the title, completing the 42-kilometer full marathon in a remarkable time of two hours, twenty-two minutes and thirty-five seconds.
Following the Moroccan champion, Ethiopia’s Methero Nebron took second place, finishing the race in two hours, twenty-eight minutes, and forty-eight seconds.
The third position on the podium was taken by Kenya’s Jackson Maina, who clocked a time of two hours, thirty-one minutes, and six seconds.
In the separate women’s event, which consisted of a 10-kilometer race, Kenyan runner Mioni Mutuku secured first place.
Mutuku completed her race in forty minutes and twenty-five seconds.
Japan’s Yuko Laguchi took second place with a time of forty minutes and forty-nine seconds, while Lahore’s Mahnoor Afzal finished third, completing the distance in forty-three minutes.
