Larkana:A foolproof security contingency plan has been prepared by Larkana police during Muharram-ul-Haram in consultation with religious scholars and keeping in view the past experiences.
SSP Masood Bangash said: :There are 180 central Imambargahs in the entire Larkana district and 179 mourning processions will be taken out, out of which nine are highly sensitive, 16 sensitive and 54 will be of normal nature.”
He said 3300 police officers and personnel would be performing their duties during Muharram-ul-Haram. He said 10 DSPs, 14 Inspectors, 105 Sub-Inspectors, 395 ASIs, 482 head constables and 2400 constables would be performing security duties along with SP headquarter Muhammad Kaleem Malick and ASP City Rizwan Tarique.
He said personnel of Sindh Rangers would also be available for extending help. He said women cops and Razakars would be posted in ladies Majlis. He said plain clothes policemen would also be deployed for strict security. He said people had also been requested to extend help and inform 15 Madadgar Base or police station about any suspicious movement or emergency.
