Multan Police, during a rehabilitation campaign for drug addicts on Saturday, transferred over one thousand individuals addicted to narcotics to a dedicated anti-narcotics center for treatment.
This initiative is part of the ongoing provincial campaign for the rehabilitation of drug-affected individuals, implemented on the directive of Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar.
Inspector General Anwar, highlighting the dual strategy of this move, said, “Along with the eradication of drugs, the treatment of drug addicts is also very important so they can live their lives with dignity, become a part of society, and play their positive role.”
Authorities are hopeful that upon the successful completion of the treatment programs, these individuals will be able to reintegrate into society as constructive and self-sufficient citizens.
