NA body summons Imran, Sh Rasheed on Oct 26

ISLAMABAD: On the matter of the use of police force at the Parliament Lodges, the National Assembly’s Standing Committee for Privileges summoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan and former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed once again on October 26.

The Privileges Committee summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders on the privilege motion of MNA Salahuddin Ayubi. Separately, a three-member commission in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) under the chairmanship of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) on Tuesday heard the case of violation of the code of conduct from Imran Khan in the NA-24 Charsadda by-election.

PTI Chairman’s lawyer Barrister Gauhar Khan appeared before the Commission and said Imran Khan is not a public office holder which the CEC raised an objection to start a new argument. The PTI chairman’s lawyer immediately sought time for arguments on which the Commission adjourned the hearing of the case till Thursday.
