To address the critical civic issues facing Naseerabad, a 24-hour hunger strike was initiated on Monday under the leadership of Sarang Tunio Sagri, President of the Youth Alliance Naseerabad. The protest included activists Ghulam Nabi Mangi, Mubeen Mangi, and other citizens, .
The protesters aimed to draw attention to several unresolved issues in the city. These issues include the incomplete construction work at the Taluka Hospital and the need for the reconstruction of the post office itself. The protesters are also demanding the completion of Ghaji Road and an investigation into the alleged use of substandard materials during its construction.
Furthermore, the camp demanded the establishment of a public park named after Bhai Abdul Sattar Soomro at the site of the old goods yard. Another significant demand is the construction of protective walls around all the city’s graveyards.
The installation of walls on both sides of the Arthur Branch to prevent erosion was also emphasized. Additionally, the restoration of law and order in Naseerabad and the wider Sindh region was raised as a major concern by the participants.
