Nasir Abad Citizens’ Alliance Continues Protest Rally for Fourth Consecutive Day

The Citizens’ Alliance protest against the alleged police inaction following a robbery incident in Nasir Abad continued for the fourth day. Protesters marched from Kathia Bazaar and threatened to intensify their protest.

The alliance’s convener, Molvi Ali Akbar Khandh?o, along with other local leaders, expressed serious concern over the non-arrest of the culprits even after five days of the incident. They accused the police of collusion with the accused and warned of a sit-in in front of the SSP Qambar’s office if justice was not served immediately. The protesters expressed their resolve to continue their protest until the arrest of those responsible.

The protest has received widespread support from local unions, political parties, and trader organizations, including the Rice Mill Union, National Awami Tehreek, Communist Party, Awami Workers Party, Sindhi Shagird Tehreek, Shoes Union, Food Grain Merchants, and various neighborhood and market associations.
