QUETTA: Kamran Khan and other residents of Al-Rehman Housing Scheme, Phase-V, Nawa Killi Quetta demanded of the authorities to grant compensation to the flood affected families of Al-Rehman Housing Scheme, Quetta.
Addressing a press conference with other residents of Al-Rehman Housing Scheme, Phase-V, Nawa Killi Quetta at Quetta Press Club here on Wednesday, he said that the recent floods demolished several buildings worth millions of rupees in Al-Rehman Housing Scheme.
He added that residents of the mentioned residential scheme had been requesting owners of the scheme, particularly Haji Shams-ur-Rehman, Mir Saeed Langove, Haji Hayat and Faheem, to provide basic facilities to the residents of Al-Rehman Housing Scheme, Phase-V, Quetta apart from constructing flood protection wall on flood channel near the said scheme, but no action was taken. Since flood protection wall did not exist, flood water entered into the housing scheme, demolishing all the buildings of the scheme, said he.
He demanded of the authorities to grant compensation to the flood affectees of Al-Rehman Housing Scheme, Phase-V, Nawa Killi, Quetta and get the flood protection wall on flood channel of the scheme constructed.
