An important meeting of Larkana Police was held under the chairmanship of SSP Mir Rohal Khan Khoso today. The main agenda items included the registration of FIRs and the investigation process.
The SSP Larkana informed the meeting that Haseeb Javed Somaar Memon has been appointed as SP Investigation for the Larkana district, and Taufiq Ahmed Sidhayo as DSP Investigation Larkana.
The meeting was told that to further enhance the investigation process in Sindh and improve the quality of investigations, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has taken decisive measures.
The SSP Larkana issued clear directives to officers, emphasizing that any delay in registering FIRs for serious crimes like theft and robbery would be intolerable. He also instructed SHOs to avoid registering false FIRs.
In cases of negligence in the proper registration of valid FIRs, strict departmental action will be taken against the concerned SHOs. SSP Larkana also instructed DSPs and SHOs to ensure that duty officers and head clerks at police stations treat citizens with respect and promptly address their complaints.
The meeting also reviewed crime statistics and police performance in detail, with instructions issued to accelerate actions against narcotics traffickers.
