NTU Community Condemns Jammu and Kashmir Occupation in Black Day Walk

The National Textile University (NTU) campus became a platform for advocacy as students and faculty united to condemn the long-standing occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, staging a “Black Day” walk to demand the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people.

According to a National Textile University report today, organized jointly by the university”s Media Club and Photography Society on October 27, 2025, the demonstration saw participants march with banners and voice slogans expressing firm solidarity with the inhabitants of the disputed territory.

The procession was prominently led by a contingent of university officials, including Dr. Shahzad Iqbal, Mr. Farooq Jamal, and Assistant Director of Student Affairs Ms. Nadia Shamim. Their presence, alongside Deputy Registrar Mr. Waseem and Security Incharge Mr. Naeem, underscored a unified institutional stance with the Kashmiri cause.

The solidarity event concluded on a solemn note, with attendees offering prayers for the restoration of peace, the attainment of freedom, and the delivery of justice for the people of Kashmir.
