Nursing Day observed in Larkana

LARKANA: No hospital is complete without nurses. During the Corona Virus pandemic, the nurses fought as frontline warriors, without caring for their own precious lives as they were busy in saving the precious lives of their brothers and sisters. Nursing care in the hospitals is most important for life saving, pre and post operations, she said.

This was stated by Prof. Tarzeen Saeed, Director, Research, Aga Khan University, while addressing a seminar held at Benazir College of Nursing at Areeja Campus of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) near here on Wednesday to mark International Day of Nurses.

She said that every particle in the world worships and the department of nursing is itself a worship, Prof. Alia Nasir said that nursing is very important in the world. “In Pakistan that importance has started to be found now”, she said adding a nurse takes care of the patient like a mother and sister.

Professor Pamela Marshall said that family planning is being done better in Sindh and Punjab than in other provinces, the world will not take our responsibility unless we take responsibility ourselves, she added.

SMBBMU Registrar Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed Sheikh said that we have a special interest in our institutions and the students here are our top priority. He said that we have always taken care of them so that the teaching and co-curricular activities in the institutions are well developed.
