Order to accelerate further the work of Red Line BRT

Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon today instructed the rapid completion of the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Karachi, emphasizing that this initiative is of utmost importance for the city’s public transport infrastructure.

In the recently held development review meeting, Minister Memon was briefed about the ongoing construction activities, challenges faced, and future strategies for the BRT project. Key figures attended the meeting, including Secretary Transport Asad Zaman and CEO Trans Karachi Zubair Channa, along with project advisors and engineers.

Detailed updates were presented on various construction sections, utility transfers, station and depot developments, and other critical aspects. Authorities also reported on the current pace of work in different sections, set targets, and highlighted completion timelines.

Minister Memon stressed the need to accelerate all construction efforts, deeming the Red Line BRT a significant public welfare project. He emphasized that every phase should be completed within the set timeframe.

To timely address technical and administrative obstacles, Memon advocated for better communication and cooperation among the involved departments. He stressed that all available resources should be utilized to ensure the project meets its quality and time constraints.
