Pakistan and Malaysia today pledged to bolster their military partnership in response to shifting regional security dynamics.
This commitment was made during a meeting in Rawalpindi on Wednesday between Malaysian Chief of Defence Forces, General Tan Sri Hj Mohd Nizam bin Hj Jaffar, and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
The two leaders discussed the changing global and regional security landscapes. They emphasized the need to explore fresh avenues for collaborative ventures in defense and security.
General Jaffar commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He praised their accomplishments and sacrifices in counterterrorism efforts and their ongoing contributions to regional peace and stability.
Earlier, upon his arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, General Jaffar was greeted with a Guard of Honour presented by a tri-services contingent.
