Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and CTD Police arrested the most-wanted criminal, Muhammad Noor alias Kham, during an intelligence-based operation in Karachi’s Sher Shah area on Wednesday. Noor, who was affiliated with the extremist group Fitna al-Khawarij, was caught with a cache of weapons and ammunition.

The arrest was the result of coordinated efforts and strategic intelligence, which exposed Noor’s involvement in multiple serious crimes. During interrogation, Noor confessed to his involvement in numerous violent acts, including target killings, extortion, bomb blasts, and kidnapping for ransom. His criminal activities were carried out with notorious accomplices like Abid Machar, Umar Khattab Mehsud, and others.

Investigations reveal that Noor has had a long-standing affiliation with the terrorist organization Fitna al-Khawarij since 2010, led by Qayyum Mehsud. He was active in a target killing unit led by Abid Machar in 2012. Many of his accomplices were either eliminated or arrested in clashes with law enforcement agencies during security operations in Karachi. Noor evaded arrest by relocating to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the 2015 crackdown.

Multiple charges are pending against him within the Manghopir and Khawaja Ajmer Nagri police jurisdictions, where he is listed as a fugitive. Authorities have handed over Noor, along with the seized weapons and explosives, to the police for further proceedings.

The public is encouraged to assist in the fight against crime by reporting suspicious activities to the nearest Rangers post, the Rangers helpline 1101, or the Rangers Madadgar WhatsApp number 03479001111. All reports will be kept confidential, as emphasized by the Sindh Rangers spokesperson.
