The Pakistani Rupee experienced a challenging session against major European currencies on Monday, with both the Euro and the Pound Sterling surging past significant thresholds in the open market, according to figures released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan.
The Euro concluded the day’s trading quoted at Rs 329.85 for buying and Rs 332.86 for selling. In a similar upward trend, the British Pound was valued at Rs 378.13 for buying and climbed to Rs 381.38 for selling.
In contrast, the US Dollar demonstrated relative stability. The greenback was traded in the open market between Rs 280.62 and Rs 281.20. In the interbank market, the American currency was pegged at Rs 280.16 for buying and Rs 280.36 for selling.
The day’s currency movements also included the Japanese Yen, which was available at Rs 1.77 and sold at Rs 1.84.
Key regional currencies also registered their positions, with the UAE Dirham quoted at Rs 76.52 for buying and Rs 77.34 for selling, while the Saudi Riyal was recorded at Rs 74.78 and Rs 75.39 for buying and selling rates, respectively.
