Panjudero villagers block Larkana-Sukkur Highway for arresting accused

NAUNDERO: Panjudero village residents came out on the roads against the lawlessness, incompetence and failure of the Naundero Police here on Saturday.

They burnt bushes, blocked Larkana-Sukkur Highway due to which hundreds of vehicles came to standstill from both sides of the much busy road and the commuters suffered the most. They also staged a sit-in and held a protest demonstration demanding justice with the PPP activist Athar Hussain Cahjro who was crushed to death by a speeding car a few days ago while walking.

While talking to media persons, the protesters Shahid Chajro, Tariq Chajro, Muhammad Ali Abro, Sajad Memon, Halim Narejo and others alleged that our young man Athar Chajro was killed by a speeding car few days ago during a walk but Naundero police have neither captured the offending car nor its driver but they are constantly keeping us on false and fabricated commitments which is not their job at all.

They said that they have privately probed the issue and informed the cops about it but police are doing nothing either to arrest the driver or to bring the car which shows that they have grabbed money from the influential accused. They demanded immediate arrest and justice with the blood of an innocent worker.

Meanwhile, after the protest, the Naundero police registered a case on the complaint of Tahir Chajro, brother of the deceased, due to which protestors called off their sit-in and opened the road. An FIR was registered against Jawad Mithani, son of Javaid Mithani and others.
