Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of the father of national women’s cricket team’s prominent batter, Shawaal Zulfiqar. In a heartfelt message issued on Tuesday, Naqvi expressed his sympathy with Shawaal Zulfiqar and her family in this difficult time.
Naqvi’s statement prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and for patience for the bereaved family. “May Allah Almighty grant the deceased a place in His mercy and give the bereaved family patience. Ameen,” Naqvi said.
The PCB expressed solidarity with Shawaal Zulfiqar, assuring its support for its players even off the field. The cricket community also echoed the chairman’s sentiments and offered condolences.
