PCB Denies Reports of Captaincy Changes in ODIs and Tests

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has strongly denied reports regarding a potential change of captains in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Test matches. There was speculation that Mohammad Rizwan was being considered for ODI captaincy and Shan Masood for Test cricket leadership, with Salman Ali Agha and Saud Shakeel respectively being considered as replacements.

The cricket governing body termed these reports as baseless. In an official statement, the PCB clarified that the selection committee has not considered any such changes. Furthermore, the board confirmed that there have been no changes in player contract categories, further emphasizing the lack of basis for these claims. The PCB’s strong denial aims to put an end to the circulating rumors and reaffirm confidence in the current team leadership.
