People have to follow government’s instructions, adhere to SOPs: Qureshi

NASEERABAD: Commissioner Naseerabad Division, Abid Saleem Qureshi, on Monday said that to remain protected from novel coronavirus, they would have to follow government’s instructions and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prescribed by the government against COVID-19 pandemic.

Addressing a press conference at Commissioner’s office, Qureshi said facilities of oxygen were available in all the hospitals of Naseerabad Division while oxygen was also being provided by Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

He added that people could protect their families from that fatal disease by following precautionary measures. He said the government had launched a comprehensive campaign to create awareness regarding the usage of face mask.

Qureshi said that special point would be set up at entry/exit points to ensure wearing mask, adding that no one would be allowed to enter city without wearing a face mask.

He urged people not to go to rush places; otherwise, they would be fined. He said that any shopkeeper found defying SOPs would be dealt with strictly. On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Naseerabad, Hamad Azhar and other authorities were also present.
