PIA launches six weekly flights to Istanbul

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan International Airline has resumed its flight operations to Turkey from Nov 15th, it emerged on Saturday.

The national carrier has completed all the required preparations. PIA will operate six weekly flights from Pakistan to Turkey. The PIA and Turkish Airlines have agreed on the codeshare agreement. Travelers from Pakistan would be allowed to fly from Istanbul to destinations in Europe, the UK, and the USA.

Now, passengers would be able to travel to 28 cities from Istanbul. Initially, four flights from Islamabad, while 2 flights from Lahore will be operated by Boeing 777. The decision is expected to bring in significant revenue for the national flag carrier that has been trying to cut down on operational costs.
