Players of Wushu protest outside Quetta Press Club

QUETTA:Players of Wushu protested outside Quetta Press Club, demanding the authorities that trial of wushu players for competing in 34th national games to be held in Quetta during the month of May, 2023 be conducted either in Pushtoonabad Sports Complex or in Ayub Stadium, Quetta Press instead of Taji Khan Sports Complex, Marriabad, Quetta and get Director General, Balochistan Sports Board, Dura Baloch transferred.

This demand was made in the protest demonstration arranged by the players of wushu kick boxing game outside Quetta Press Club here on Thursday. Addressing the protest demonstration, speakers said merely to facilitate the players of three clubs of Wushu, Taji Khan Sports Complex, Quetta was declared as venue for the trial of wushu players for competing 34th national games to be held in Quetta during the month of May, 2023. They said that players of dozens of academies were demanding to select either Pushtoonabad Sports Complex, Quetta or Ayub Stadium, Quetta as venue for conducting trial of wushu players.

Demanding the authorities to get Dura Baloch, Director General, Balochistan Sports Board transferred, they said that the incumbent Director General, Balochistan Sports Board was mis-using his poweres. They demanded of the authorities that trial of wushu players for competing in 34th national games to be held in Quetta during the month of May, 2023 be conducted either in Pushtoonabad Sports Complex or in Ayub Stadium, Quetta Press instead of Taji Khan Sports Complex, Marriabad, Quetta and get Director General, Balochistan Sports Board, Dura Baloch transferred. Protest demonstration was addressed by Kaleemullah Kakar, Yahya Kakar and others.

On the other hand, authorities of Directorate of Sports, Balochistan said that there existed three associations of Wushu game whereas Balochistan Wushu Association registered with Balochistan Sports Board had been authorized to conduct trial of wushu players in Taji Khan Sports Complex, Quetta
