Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today returned home after concluding his four-day official visit to China.
The Prime Minister departed for home following a successful visit to Beijing. Chinese Vice Foreign Minister and Secretary-General of the China-CEEC Cooperation Secretariat, Hua Chunying, bid farewell to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the airport.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan will extend full support to Chinese companies for the promotion and expansion of their businesses and further strengthen economic, trade, and technological ties between the two countries. He was addressing a ceremony during his visit to the headquarters of leading Chinese technology company, IBI Corporation, in Beijing today.
During his address, he underscored the importance of strengthening Pakistan-China economic and commercial cooperation, promoting bilateral trade and investment, and enhancing institutional linkages between the business communities of the two countries. He noted that the deepening of such ties is a cornerstone of the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
The Prime Minister assured the company of all possible facilitation for the growth of its business activities in Pakistan. He stated that under CPEC phase two, Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology are among Pakistan’s four most important priority programmes that the government is pursuing on a fast-track basis.
Addressing the young participants present in the ceremony, he described them as talented entrepreneurs and experts in their respective fields, adding that government of Pakistan is undertaking extensive measures to provide technical training and skills development opportunities to young people of Pakistan.
He said youth is our future and Pakistan-China cooperation would further strengthen through their close relations. The Prime Minister further said that under CPEC phase two, vast investment opportunities exist in Special Economic Zones.
