LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Sunday visited the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore to inquire after the measures and facilities for prisoners including food being provided as per the jail manual.
Sharif also visited the jail hospital, hail barracks and kitchen area of the Kot Lakhpat jail. The premier also interacted with the inmates and inquired after their problems. PM Shehbaz has directed the jail authorities to provide enough sheri and iftar meals for inmates.
Interestingly, Shehbaz Sharif also visited that jail barrack which was allotted to him during the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Pertinent to note that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested Shahbaz Sharif in 2021 in a money laundering and assets beyond means case.
