MIRPURKHAS: Hundreds of followers of Ghousia Jamaat Mirpurkhas on Sunday held a protest in front of the local press club against the police mistreatment with their spiritual leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
The party leaders Imrani and Azam Imrani said that Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi is an important political leader of the country as well as a spiritual leader who has always been doing clean and polite politics, but a minor SHO of Punjab Police had violated democratic values.
They said that the polcie had insulted their leader to please their masters, which they strongly condemned. Actions are being taken against the leaders and workers on the charge of having links with a party which is tarnishing the image of the present government, they added. They demanded immediate release of Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
