Senior police officials are directing a significant enhancement of security protocols across the federal capital, with officers instructed to make vehicle and individual checks more effective while simultaneously improving interactions with the public.
According to a police report today, the move follows special instructions from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to ensure foolproof security in the city.
In a direct implementation of the new directives, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza conducted on-site visits to various duty points, where he met with the deployed police officers and personnel.
During his inspection tour, the SSP reviewed the existing checking processes and directed supervising officers to make them more purposeful to better ensure the protection of citizens” lives and property.
Officers were explicitly instructed to maintain a high state of alertness, ensure effective inspection of suspicious individuals and vehicles, and immediately escalate reports of any questionable activities to senior officials.
SSP Raza further emphasized that all law enforcement personnel should interact with citizens in a polite and respectful manner, a measure aimed at strengthening the trust between the police and the public.
An official statement affirmed that the protection of residents and their assets remains the foremost priority for the Islamabad Police, with all security arrangements being geared towards this objective.
The administration is also urging citizens to fully cooperate with the police during security procedures and to report any suspicious persons or activities immediately to the nearest police station or via the Pucar-15 helpline.
