Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has addressed what he described as false propaganda regarding Tirah Valley, clarifying that any link between a provincial relocation fund and the Pakistan Army is misleading.
Speaking to the media today, the minister stated the government has taken serious notice of the matter. He explained that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government”s Relief, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Department has allocated four billion rupees for individuals who intend to relocate voluntarily due to harsh weather conditions and other challenges.
Mr Tarar also urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration to concentrate on resolving public issues, noting that the populace has grown weary of repeated calls for protests.
He asserted that the politics of agitation cannot deliver any benefit to the public, as citizens want basic facilities available at their doorsteps.
The minister emphasised that the provincial government should establish forensic laboratories and initiate welfare-oriented development projects.
He concluded by stating that decisions in the next elections will be based on public service rather than on protest politics.
