Political – Senate Chairman Gilani Mourns with PPP Leader Syed Hassan Murtaza Over Father’s Demise

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Senate, on Sunday expressed his profound sorrow and grief over the passing away of the father of Syed Hassan Murtaza, a senior figure in the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and a former provincial legislator.

In a message of condolence, the Senate chairman offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul, asking Allah Almighty to grant forgiveness and elevate the station of the deceased.

Mr Gilani described parents as one of the greatest blessings bestowed by the divine, emphasising that their affection, guidance, and presence are irreplaceable. He characterised the loss of a parent as an “immense tragedy that is extremely difficult to endure or express in words.”

Extending his support, the chairman affirmed that he stands shoulder to shoulder with the grieving family in their difficult time and prayed that they are granted the strength to bear this irreparable loss with patience.

Syed Hassan Murtaza is a prominent leader within the PPP, having previously served as a Member of the Provincial Assembly and as the Parliamentary Leader for the party in the Punjab Assembly.

The chairman extended his heartfelt sympathies to the entire bereaved family, reiterating his prayers for the departed.
