Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh, Hafiz Nasrullah Channa, said that MPA Muhammad Farooq Farhan’s vote in favor of the provincial unity resolution affirms that “Sindh was one, is one, and will remain one”.
Addressing an Iftar gathering at Madrasa Jamia Islamia, Channa vowed that his party’s efforts against those who plunder the province and usurp the rights of the people will continue.
He said that the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to its spiritual training, also gives the message of resistance against oppression and injustice. The event was also addressed by the institution’s director, Fateh Khan Khoso, and other local figures.
The Jamaat-e-Islami leader accused the current rulers of making new excuses to hide their failures and divert public attention from real issues.
He concluded by suggesting that the solution to the challenges faced by the people of the entire region, from Karachi to Kashmore, lies in the establishment of a truly empowered and resourceful local government system.
