In anticipation of potential flooding, local authorities in Khairpur Mirs have intensified efforts to ensure public safety. Deputy Commissioner Fayaz Hussain Rahoojo, along with SSP Hussain Sardar Niazi and Rangers Colonel Atif Khattak, inspected key flood defenses, including Alra Jagir Band, Jamsheer Band, and Faqirabad Protective Bands.
The inspection team included Assistant Commissioner Kingri Syed Muhammad Ali Shah and key figures from the irrigation sector, who conducted a detailed review of the current protective strategies. According to irrigation engineers, all necessary actions and precautions have been actively implemented on the weaker and standard protective embankments of the Indus River.
Continuous monitoring is being carried out to accurately track the upcoming water flow. Authorities are focusing on monitoring the water flow data coming from Guddu and Sukkur Barrage.
