President Asif Ali Zardari has officially signed the National Commission for Minorities Rights Bill, 2025, into law, marking a significant legislative development.
According to information today, the head of state gave his formal assent to a total of three key legislative measures. This constitutional procedure was completed upon receiving the official recommendation of the Prime Minister.
In addition to the minorities” rights statute, the President also approved the Qanun-e-Shahadat (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which modifies the country’s law of evidence.
The third piece of legislation enacted was the King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences Bill, 2025, establishing the legal foundation for the specialized medical institution.
