Protest against delay in Nasirabad hospital construction surpasses 100 days, ‘Build Hospital’ signature campaign begins

The citizens’ movement demanding the restoration of essential health services in Nasirabad has completed 109 days, with organizers vowing to continue their peaceful struggle until their constitutional right to a functional hospital is fulfilled.

The “Build Hospital Signature Campaign” continued during a demonstration held on Wednesday, led by the Awake Citizen Alliance Nasirabad, in which local residents reportedly participated enthusiastically.

On this occasion, Alliance President Comrade Muhammad Rafi Leghari, Sufi Ghaffar Channa, Comrade Asif Katheo, Muhammad Tagar, Mansoor Soomro, Ikhtiar Ganos, Comrade Inamullah Kandhro and other citizens demanded that the taluka hospital be built without delay and medical facilities be provided.

The leaders stated that according to the Constitution of Pakistan, every citizen has the fundamental right to health and treatment services, a right they said the people of Taluka Nasirabad have been deprived of for many years.

They reiterated their determination to secure the right to a local hospital through a continuous and peaceful public struggle, and declared that they will achieve their goal “no matter what.”

As a next step, the Awake Citizen Alliance has announced that a protest rally will be held on Friday, the 20th. The demonstration will begin from the incomplete taluka hospital building to exert further pressure for its restoration and the provision of treatment facilities.
