Protest in Mirpur Khas against case registered against Sindh United Party chief Zain Shah

A protest demonstration was held here against the case registered by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) against Sindh United Party chief Syed Zain Shah.

SUP district president Lala Azhar Pathan led the protest along with Muhammad Khan Mari, Sameer, Mustafa Jamal Shar, and other party leaders.

Addressing the protest, the speakers accused the PPP of registering a treason case “at the behest of their masters,” and alleged that this action is a violation of the rule of law. They said that filing false treason charges against those who advocate for democracy and constitutional rights is the real treason. The SUP says Shah is being targeted for supporting the rights of the people of Sindh.

The protesting party members believe that the PPP-led government wants to suppress voices raising concerns about Sindh’s resources and heritage. They insist that these actions will not deter them and Shah and SUP supporters will stand by their struggle. The SUP demanded an inquiry into the case and legal action against those responsible. They claimed that such legal actions create further divisions and deepen hatred, indicating that fundamental freedoms and legal processes have been suppressed in the province.
