Protest over incomplete construction of Tehsil Hospital and lack of medical facilities at Rural Health Center

The ongoing protest movement demanding adequate health facilities in Nasirabad has entered its 96th day on Wednesday, where protesters have highlighted the severe hardships faced by the community due to a stalled hospital project and a critical shortage of medical resources.

The latest demonstration, organized by the Awake Citizens Alliance, featured a protest march and a subsequent sit-in in the village of Mithal Khan Chandio in UC Muradi, attended by a large number of local residents along with political and social activists.

The alliance’s core demands press for the resumption and completion of the long-stalled construction of the Tehsil Hospital. Alongside this, they are also demanding the immediate provision of doctors and essential medicines at the local Rural Health Center, which is currently facing a severe shortage of both staff and supplies.

Addressing the gathering, leaders of the alliance emphasized that access to basic health services is a fundamental right of every citizen. They described the public’s suffering and need to seek help elsewhere as indifference from the relevant authorities.

The organizers have made it clear that their peaceful protest movement will continue indefinitely until the demands for better medical infrastructure and facilities are met.
