Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has declared that a statement issued by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the United Kingdom against the nation and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir clearly falls under the category of terrorism.
Speaking to the media after a high-level meeting at Governor House today, Mr Tessori demanded that the British government conduct an immediate and transparent inquiry into the individuals involved in what he described as anti-Pakistan propaganda.
The Governor issued a caution to overseas Pakistanis, urging them to avoid being deliberately misled and to refrain from becoming part of any anti-state narrative.
In his remarks, he also addressed regional security, emphasizing that the use of Afghan soil against Pakistan is another form of terrorism that cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
Mr Tessori termed the country’s foreign policy successful, stating that Islamabad has now emerged as a strong and effective centre of power on the world stage. He added that Pakistan has asserted its global position by achieving success against a major power.
The media talk followed a meeting with a delegation from MQM Pakistan, which included its Chairman and Federal Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, alongside senior leaders Dr. Farooq Sattar and Amin-ul-Haq. The discussion focused on the country”s overall political situation and a federal development package for Karachi.
The governor welcomed the federal initiative for Karachi, assuring that it would benefit all citizens of Sindh, including those in Karachi and Hyderabad, without any discrimination. He also highlighted that IT and Artificial Intelligence courses are being provided to youth at Governor House, which he believes will serve as a strong foundation for national development and self-reliance.
