Punjab Police Crackdown: 79 Arrested, 78 Cases Registered, Drugs Seized

In efforts to combat crime and enhance public safety, Punjab Police arrested 79 individuals involved in drug trafficking, registered 78 cases, and seized a large quantity of drugs. In an attempt to maintain order, authorities conducted 347 search operations, during which 9,237 individuals were questioned and 34 suspects were detained.

To tackle the issue of electricity theft, which impacts the national treasury, police arrested 21 individuals and registered 73 cases.

To mitigate the dangers associated with kite flying, law enforcement agencies detained 9 individuals, registered 9 cases, and confiscated 52 kites. Enforcement of traffic laws resulted in the issuance of 24,968 traffic challans and fines amounting to Rs 14 million. Furthermore, 21 vehicles emitting excessive smoke were impounded. Meanwhile, 10,397 driving licenses were issued.
