Qalandars’ Jhelum Trials Draw Thousands of Aspirants

Thousands of aspiring cricketers participated in trials held by the Pakistan Super League franchise Lahore Qalandars in Jhelum.

The event, hosted at the invitation of Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani, saw young athletes demonstrate their skills before international player Haris Rauf.

The trials also attracted the attention of US Embassy Chargé d”Affaires Natalie Baker. Baker interacted with Qalandars players and the young trial participants, offering words of support and motivation.

Kayani expressed gratitude to Qalandars” CEO Atif Rana, Sameen Rana, Rauf, and Baker for attending the Jhelum event. The minister emphasized the program”s aim to identify and nurture budding cricketers in the region.

Kayani also applauded the franchise”s intention to construct a high-performance facility in Jhelum, predicting it would significantly enhance the area”s cricketing prospects.
