LARKANA: Members of Rahbar Tehreek, Sindh, together with the flood victims of Qambar-Shahdadkot, took out a rally on Wednesday against the Deputy Commissioner of Qamber Shahdadkot and non-provision of relief goods to the flood victims. They also staged a large protest demonstration at Jinnah Bagh in the city.

On this occasion, Rahbar Tehreek Sindh Chairman Sajjad Ahmed Chandio, Senior Vice President Abdul Majeed Magsi, Ghulam Abbas Chandio, Maulana Sultan Ahmad Jagirani, Tehreek Jawanan Pakistan District Vice President Khalid Hussain Chandio and others while addressing the participants said that five months ago there were floods and rains in Qambar-Shahdadkot district.

They said that the rains and flood caused massive destruction in which millions of people became homeless and property destroyed. They said that many of the victims were forced to live under the open sky, but they had not got rations, tents and other equipment yet.

They further claimed that many people had died in floods. They said that for the relief of the flood victims of Qambar-Shahdadkot district, they met with the elected MNA Mir Amir Khan Magsi, Aftab Shahban Mirani, Mir Nadir Magsi, Burhan Khan Chandio, Sardar Khan Chandio, Ghanwar Isran and the officials of the district administration, but they neglected their requests.

They alleged that the DC Qambar-Shahdadkot and other officials appeared at the hearing today at the Sindh High Court where they had filed a constitutional petition but from their behavior it seemed that they were not ready to help the victims. They appealed to those in power to provide rations, tents and other material to the victims of flash flood and rain as soon as possible.
