Quake jolts Islamabad, Peshawar, other areas

ISLAMABAD:An earthquake of moderate intensity jolted many cities of Pakistan, including Islamabad and Peshawar, on Monday, with the people rushing out of their homes and offices. The earthquake was measured 5.2 on Richter Scale and its epicenter was in border region of Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

According to the National Seismic Centre, the earthquake’s depth was 91 kilometers inside the ground. The earthquake has shaken a number of cities including Islamabad and Peshawar.
