Rally against drug sales in Nasirabad, demonstration at police station

The Kathia Mohalla Youth Alliance Committee organized a rally today in Nasirabad against the sale of drugs. The protest was led by prominent figures such as Anti-Narcotics Alliance President Sufi Ghaffar Channa, Saifullah Katho, Arbeli Khan Sheikh, Hafiz Katho, Abdul Jabbar Ganwash, and Mansoor Katho.

The rally began from Kathia Mohalla and concluded at the main gate of the police station, where a demonstration was also held. Participants expressed their outrage through impassioned slogans, alleging that drugs are being sold openly in the city and surrounding villages, allegedly with police complicity. The protest leaders accused law enforcement agencies of collaborating with criminal elements, including operators of brothels and drug peddlers.

The protesters appealed to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for immediate intervention to dismantle the drug networks and eradicate various social evils present in the area. They demanded that the authorities take strict action against those involved in the distribution of illegal substances, particularly dealers of the highly addictive “ice” drug.

The protest was supported by various community leaders and organizations. Participants included Sajag Citizens Alliance General Secretary Asif Katho, STP’s Mansoor Soomro, PTI’s Abdul Rasheed Khundro, Quba’s Riaz Phulpoto, Junior Zulfiqar Team’s Comrade Ibrahim Chandio, PPP Shaheed Bhutto’s Comrade Shiraz Patoji, and National Awami Tehreek’s Comrade Inaam Khundro. Additionally, the Odhana Mohalla Youth Alliance, Jangi Wah Youth Alliance, Bhittai Colony Youth Alliance, and other social leaders such as Ashfaq Masih, Qamaruddin Kalhoro, and Ishaq Sheikh, along with concerned citizens, also raised their voices for the cause.
