LARKANA: Two abductees of Larkana could not be recovered by Kandhkot @ Kashmore police who were kidnapped two days ago from the limits of Ghouspur police station. They include Zahid Umrani and Sikander Umrani.

In this connection their heirs Sharif Umrani, Haneef Umrani and others while addressing the newsmen at a local press club on Thursday along with Hafiz Bashir Ahmed Shaikh of Larkano Samagi Ittehad alleged that both the abductees were taken on 13th December by Asghar Shah and Asghar Ali Gaincho of Nasirabad on the pretext of hunting and after passage of 24 hours we contacted them which failed.

They said that after that we contacted SHO Ghouspur Ahmed Nawaz Jakhrani who confirmed their kidnapping and expressed his helplessness. They said that the SHO further said that the kidnappers are very notorious criminals and dacoits who had also martyred police officers hence they are unable to do anything against them. They further alleged that SHO advised them to resolve the issue on their own through payment of extortion and after that bandits contacted them on the phone of Zahid and demanded payment of Rs 5 crore to release them.

They claimed that they also made a complaint to the DIGP Larkana Range but nothing has so far resulted due to which our family members are constantly weeping. They appealed to higher Sindh Government authorities to help them in rescuing the captives to end unrest among them.
