The Badin Press Club and Shamsheer Hyderi Academy celebrated the 94th birthday of Sindhi intellectual Shamsheer Hyderi in a grand manner. The event, held at the Badin Press Club, commemorated Hyderi’s immense contributions to journalism, poetry, research, and literature. The celebration commenced with a cake-cutting ceremony, attended by renowned journalist from Islamabad, Razaq Khatti.
Badin Press Club President Shaukat Memon, Vice President Ashraf Abdullah Memon, senior journalists Tanveer Ahmed Arain, Haji Abdul Shakoor Memon, Shaad Altaf Memon, Imran Abbas, Khawaja Abdul Hameed Soomro, Khalid Aziz Abbasi, Ismail Khawaja, writer Mir Baladi, senior journalists Malik Ilyas, Abdul Majeed Mama, Noor Hassan, and Zulfiqar Lund addressed the attendees. The speakers described Hyderi as a great man of the century, a multifaceted personality who excelled as a journalist, poet, researcher, author, storyteller, broadcaster, and patriot. His principles and scholarly endeavors were deemed a guiding light for future generations.
