In response to the rising number of cardiac cases in the province, a new specialized cardiac facility, the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology, is set to become operational on 16 February.
It was officially announced today on the social networking site X that this five-story, 250-bed medical institution is currently in the final stages of construction and is part of the government’s initiative to provide modern medical services in Punjab.
Modern diagnostic equipment, including CT scan, MRI, and gamma camera technologies, has been installed in the new facility.
Designed on the model of the existing Punjab Institute of Cardiology, this new hospital will reduce the patient load on existing health centers and aims to provide specialized treatment to heart patients.
This project has been developed under the direction of the provincial administration, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. A government statement said that this initiative is in line with the commitment to public service and fulfilling promises made to voters.
