The protest by Sajag Shehri Ittehad for the swift construction of the Taluka Hospital and the provision of doctors and medicines at the Rural Health Center continued for the 32nd day on Wednesday, with demonstrators holding a torch-bearing rally to express their frustration over government inaction.

In the demonstration organized by the Vigilant Citizen Alliance Nasirabad, a large number of residents, social figures, and youth marched from the Post Office to hold a sit-in near the National Bank. The procession was led by Alliance leaders including Senior Vice President Sufi Ghaffar Channa, Asif Katheo, and Arif Brohi.

Addressing the rally, the speakers condemned the prolonged failure to complete the Taluka Hospital, which has been stalled for years. They highlighted the severe difficulties faced by the local population due to the absence of necessary doctors, medicines, and emergency treatment facilities at the existing rural health center.

The protest leaders held the tehsil administration, the health department, and elected representatives directly responsible for the situation, accusing them of gross negligence. In their speeches, they said that citizens have been protesting for more than a month, but the concerned authorities have stuffed cotton in their ears and have blindfolded their eyes.

The Alliance has vowed to continue its protest, stating that the demonstrations will not end until the hospital’s construction is completed and the community is fully provided with adequate medical services.
