Sargodha and Mianwali to Launch Safe City Project, Emergency Alert System Installed

Sargodha and Mianwali have become the latest cities in Punjab to be included in the Safe City Project expansion under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. This initiative will boost modern surveillance and security infrastructure in these areas.

Bhakkar and Khushab will also join this network later this year. In Sargodha, 247 modern cameras are providing continuous surveillance. Public Wi-Fi hotspots are available at 30 locations and emergency alert systems have been installed at 10 key points. Two sensors are also monitoring air quality.

Steps are being taken to protect female students by installing alert buttons in 19 women’s colleges in the city. An automated traffic violation ticketing system is also operational. Modern surveillance equipment has been installed at seven entry and exit points of the city to enhance security. More information is available in the attached video.
