MASTUNG:,,, Secretary Health Department Abdullah Khan, Divisional Director Health Dr Tahira, DHO Dr Rasheed DHO, and other officiers visited SNGRTH Mastung on Tuesday.
The visiting team inspected wards and other sections of the hospital and found them functional. During the visit it was observed that the IPC protocols are not being implemented in letter and spirit, upon which the secretary showed his grave concern and directed the CEO and the administration to immediately implement the IPC protocols to prevent the infection spread.
Moreover, the secretary health directed that proper hospital waste management system should be developed and implemented, its suggestions be presented in the board meeting. It was also observed that there was no HMIS in place . The secretary health directed that it may be coordinated with PC DHIS to be included in the DHIS-2.
